What’s The Cause About?
It’s about helping and providing educational support to women who are “single mothers” either unemployed or living in shelters. Transfotech, Inc has partnered with Act of Goodwill, Inc and agreed to provide them with a FREE course. The Requirement is that they have a “basic/good” understanding of English, High School Diploma, or Equivalent. Allowing Transfotech to truly help them transform these single mothers’ lives for the better.
Why does it Matter?
It Matters because these Single Mothers will have 2 Months of Intensive Training on Basic Computer Skills, Leadership Skills, and Career Counseling. Once they complete this 2 months course, they will be moved to an intensive 4 months course learning “QA” an IT course which will allow them to understand software testing and be able to get an “ENTRY” level job with a starting salary of $50,000 to $70,000.Â
How Will Funds Be Utilized?
The Funds will go towards the following :Â
1. FREE LAPTOP ( $380 Per Person x 10 = $3,800 )Â
2. Class Room Accessories ( $150 Per Person x 10 = $1,500 )Â
3. Food/Snacks Every Day for 10 Ladies ( $10 x 132 Days = $1,320 )
